We are here to build tools for a paper-light future — together.
1. Our Service
w.page is a non-profit initiative by eMedia Foundation. We provide free URL shortening using premium single-letter domains: w.page, 3.sv, a.sv, z.cg.
- ✅ No ads. No backlinks. No hidden costs.
- ✅ Open source — you may self-host or contribute.
- ✅ You may also use your own custom domain.
- ⚠️ Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it running, but 100% uptime is not guaranteed.
2. Acceptable Use — Please Read Carefully
You are part of the earth. Please act accordingly.
❌ You may NOT use w.page for:
- Illegal activity, fraud, or phishing
- Malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Pornography or adult content
- Harassment, hate speech, or violence
- Spam, misleading links, or deceptive practices
- Copyright or trademark infringement
If you are unsure, ask yourself: "Does this help save trees — or does it harm people?"
3. Abuse Reporting
If you believe a short URL violates these terms or harms our mission:
📩 Report instantly: w.page/abuse
Consequences of violation:
- ⚠️ Immediate suspension of the short URL
- ⛔ Permanent ban of your account
- 🚫 Blocking of your IP address
No refunds (there are no payments). No appeals (except by mercy).
4. Privacy & Cookies
We use only necessary first-party cookies (session ID, cookie consent). We do not use third-party tracking, analytics, or marketing cookies.
IP addresses and browser information are logged temporarily for security and abuse prevention. We never sell or share your data.

5. Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- The URLs you shorten
- How you share them
- Complying with all applicable local and international laws
We are not liable for:
- The content of any shortened URL
- Any damages arising from your use of our service
- Any downtime, data loss, or technical interruptions
6. Children
You must be at least 13 years old to use w.page. If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to help you save trees. 🌳
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe:
- You have violated these terms
- You create legal risk for w.page or eMedia Foundation
- Your use is abusive or harmful to the service or its mission
You may stop using w.page at any time. No hard feelings. Just keep saving trees. 🌱
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms occasionally — for example, to improve clarity or comply with new regulations. The latest version will always be published at:

Your continued use of w.page means you accept the current terms.
9. Open Source & Contribution
w.page is 100% open source. You are welcome to:
- Self-host your own instance
- Modify and improve the code
- Contribute back to the project

10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Stuttgart, Germany.
